Malvern Residence I

A SEAMLESS FLOW BETWEEN OLD AND NEW

A collaborative reimagining marries consideration for the home’s occupants with functional, well designed zones for practical and refined family living.

A robust fit out and durable finishes were thoughtfully considered and enlivened with playful accents. Tonal grey and white acts as a canvas for bold materiality and grounds spaces flooded with light by new skylights installed in the kitchen, butler’s pantry and ensuite.

The neutral colour palette of the hallway is warmed by European oak flooring under foot, while doorways to the left and right invite leisurely exploration. The moody elegance and distinctly adult feel of the front sitting room entices a welcoming retreat, where a rich colour palette is tempered with cornice detail, gold accents and tactile materiality. Dark blue walls are paired with spotted high pile carpet in the same hue, playing to the regal-coloured tiling on the existing fireplace, itself revived by a new dark timber mantle.
