ATMOSPHERIC LUXURY

Studio Tate were engaged to design the business lounge of a new inner-city commercial tower development in Melbourne by Goldfields, a client the Studio had previously worked with on multi-residential and workplace fit out projects.

The series of spaces provide areas to meet, work quietly or hire out for functions including an outdoor landscaped terrace. A hotel-like atmosphere was created by the Studio, with existing materiality of timber floors and polished plaster enhanced by soft, warm and luxurious finishes of walnut timber veneer, green marble, leather, soft velvets and granite, with brass accents added for refinement. The result is a classic, sophisticated aesthetic that is inherently functional.
