Charged with crafting a series of residences reflective of their location in the stately suburb of Malvern, Studio Tate worked closely with architects Fredman Malina and drew on the surrounding streetscape for inspiration.

With generous living areas and luxurious amenity, each of the thirteen residences within the aptly named Botanical have been designed to reflect the grandeur of traditional family homes indicative of the area.

Drawing on their extensive experience in designing sophisticated private homes, Studio Tate incorporated well-appointed hallmarks such as a spacious kitchen with double pantry and refrigerator, and an island bench large enough to double as a second dining area. Further expressed through considered materiality, residents will enjoy porcelain slab benchtops, natural stone splashbacks, custom-made herringbone floor tiles in the bathroom, and refined timber finishes throughout.

Studio Tate’s characteristic intelligent approach to design is evident throughout, such as in the convenient ‘key drop’ by the front door, and upholstered bedheads with integrated lighting. Such details offer a superior level of craft and comfort more commonly found in refined private homes.

A soothing colour palette creates an effortless flow between spaces, and connects naturally with the landscaping outside; ensuring residents enjoy a wonderful experience both inside and out.
