Collins Arch Penthouse
Melbourne

A long-standing client relationship enabled Studio Tate to make bold design and styling decisions within a new inner-city penthouse, reflecting the client’s desire for a space that is both glamorous and fun.

Detailed materiality, texture and colour were largely influenced by the client’s art collection while the selection of furniture elevates the apartment to the finish befitting its location.

In the apartment’s entry, a custom joinery unit with setdown and discreet drawer, is given definition by an Articolo Scandal wall sconce.  A warm ambience transcends the family entertaining space known as the ‘pink room’, with soft pink walls offset by colour, featuring Ligne Rosset chairs in Bordeaux, custom rug by Behruz, a Grazia & Co. grey tint glass top Ivy coffee table and Cappellini Big Shadow floor light. The formal dining and sitting room in misty grey are anchored by a wine room wrapped in custom steel-framed glazing with a timber coffered ceiling, display shelving and extensive wine racks.  A custom bedhead, new carpet and ottomans were added to the master suite with a dressing table featuring a stone-faced drawer and arched, backlit mirror with concealed storage behind.
