The Regent Display Suite

Bridging residential, retail and exhibition design, The Regent Display Suite showcases the design ethos and luxurious spirit of ‘The Regent’ – a new multi-residential development in Victoria’s bustling Fitzroy, with interiors by Studio Tate.

On arrival, a curved ‘Hollywood wall’ of lights creates a memorable first impression, set against a sculptural concierge desk combining burgundy marble, lacquered timber and brushed stainless steel. Beyond, a lounge area, shrouded by burgundy velvet drapery, precedes an ‘immersion room,’ where film projections by urban innovation studio, Right Angle, span across three walls – an inspiring overview of the development in its historic context. A large light box viewing wall and architectural model occupy the next space, animating the development’s architecture by Hayball.

Two display kitchens showcase The Regent’s contrasting material schemes – the edgy ‘Arthouse’ featuring green marble and walnut, and the more conservative ‘Classic’ featuring grey
marble and oak. Beyond, a living room display, full ensuite and robe celebrate Studio Tate’s rigorous approach to bespoke design and detailing, with the journey culminating at a signing table, connected back to the entry. Throughout, deep green saturates the building’s exposed ceilings and new dividing walls, creating a moody, dramatic ambience, punctuated by travertine and terrazzo flooring, gallery like lighting and luxurious furnishings and styling. Portfolio walls are interwoven at key moments, highlighting the capabilities of SMA, Right Angle, Hayball architecture and Studio Tate as a cohesive project team, supporting the sales team in their endeavors.

The Regent Display Suite’s curated journey begs visitors to explore and connect with the development’s thoughtful design, guided by a strong conceptual through-line. Studio Tate has applied its skill in planning and architectural intervention through to furniture and styling, “ensuring purchasers immediately connect with the development’s high end, well considered and well executed character,” says Liz.
