UNDERSTATED LUXURY EVOCATIVE OF HOLLYWOOD

Studio Tate completed a comprehensive renovation of a penthouse apartment, maximising its expansive views of the Shrine of Remembrance and the Botanic Gardens.

Looking for a refreshed, opulent feel, the idea of ‘LA glamour’ was introduced through a sophisticated and bold concept using feature materials to evoke an understated luxury with a vintage Hollywood vibe.

The client’s love of black and white was made a central theme throughout the apartment, such as the chevron tile with black stone border in the master ensuite. Other details are noted in the powder room with a sumptuous pink-veined green marble, pink pendant lamp and bronze mirror trim and custom features including panelling in the kitchen and living areas, detail on the ceiling strapping and distinctive lighting choices.

Loose furniture and artworks were selected for each room, accentuating the colour palettes, materials and textures of each space.
